A good book to learn how to start a radio station (amateur)?

I need a book so I can get a license for a non commercial radio broadcast. Anyone got any good books for it? It would be nice if they were made for the test you need to take to get the license.

John is correct.

Broadcasting is prohibited on amateur radio by FCC Regulations, domestically, as well as by international agreement.

I’m not sure what type of noncommercial radio broadcasting service is licenseable, but in any event it is not amateur radio.

**NOTE**
Gee, thanks for the thumbs down. All you need to do is consult FCC Regulations, Part 97, and you will see that broadcasting is SPECIFICALLY listed as a prohibited practice in amateur radio. Or maybe you can’t read.

I’m not positive but it sounds like you are talking about Amatuer (Ham) Radio? I’m not sure of what country you are in (which will affect the rules on how to get a license) however a great starting point of information is the ARRL in the U.S. Besides the website they have a great book called the ARRL Handbook, often available at the Library too.
